Privacy Policy

What infofacility.com collects, what happens to the messages you send Infofacility, and how to use your rights over your data.

Who is responsible

Infofacility is owned and run by PrimeRole, Inc., a Delaware company, which this policy calls "Infofacility", "we" or "us". For infofacility.com and the messages you send us, we decide why and how your personal data is used, so we are the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the controller under the GDPR. Questions about this policy or about your data go to info@infofacility.com, which a person reads and answers.

This policy covers the website and the enquiries you send. When a business uses an Infofacility product or service, the contract with that business sets how the data in it is handled.

What the website collects

  • No cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. The site stores nothing in your browser.
  • The forms send nothing to us. The callback, demo and newsletter forms open your own email app with a message addressed to info@infofacility.com. Nothing reaches Infofacility unless you send that email.
  • Search and the free tools run in your browser. What you search for and your answers to the breach notification clock stay on your device. The clock's "Email me these deadlines" opens your email app with a message addressed to you.
  • Cloudflare hosts the site. To deliver each page and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address, the page you asked for and the details your browser sends, such as its type and language. Infofacility can see these request logs for a short time, to fix problems.
  • The fonts come from Google. Pages load the IBM Plex typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser sends Google your IP address and browser details when it fetches them. Google's own privacy policy covers that request.

What you send us

When you email Infofacility, or send a request from one of the forms, we receive what you write: usually your name, work email, company, country and what you need. We use it to reply, to scope and quote the work and, if you asked for it, to send the weekly tracker.

Please do not put sensitive details, such as health or financial information, in an enquiry.

Why we can use it

  • Under DPDP, you give us your details for a purpose you choose, such as a quote or the newsletter, and we use them for that purpose until you tell us to stop, as s. 7(a) allows.
  • Under the GDPR, replying to an enquiry and quoting for work are steps you ask for before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The newsletter rests on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Keeping request logs to run and protect the site is in our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who else sees it

Only the people at Infofacility who answer your message, and the providers that carry it:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts the website;
  • our email provider, which holds the info@infofacility.com mailbox;
  • Google, which serves the fonts.

We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising, in the sense the CCPA gives those words. We disclose it to anyone else only where a law requires us to.

Where it is processed

PrimeRole, Inc. is a US company, Cloudflare runs a global network, and our email provider may store mail outside India. DPDP allows this, except to a country the Central Government restricts (s. 16). Where the GDPR applies, transfers out of the European Economic Area rest on the safeguards our providers offer, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as we need to answer and follow up, then we delete them. If you become a client, we keep what the contract and the law require.
  • The newsletter list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Request logs: a short time, under Cloudflare's own retention.

Your rights

You can ask Infofacility:

  • for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and what we do with it (DPDP s. 11; Art. 15 GDPR);
  • to correct, complete or update it, or to erase what we no longer need (DPDP s. 12; Art. 16 and 17 GDPR);
  • to stop sending the newsletter, or to withdraw a consent you gave (DPDP s. 6(4); Art. 7(3) GDPR);
  • to let someone you nominate use these rights for you if you die or cannot act yourself (DPDP s. 14);
  • if you live in California, to know, delete or correct what we hold (CCPA s. 1798.100 to 1798.106).

Our duties under DPDP apply from 13 May 2027. We answer these requests now.

How to make a request

Write to info@infofacility.com from the email address you used with us, and say which right you want to use. If you write from another address, we may ask you to confirm the one we have before we act. We reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with the answer, tell us first. Under DPDP you can then complain to the Data Protection Board of India (s. 13(3)). In the EU and the UK you can complain to your data protection authority at any time.

Children

The site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If a child has written to us, ask and we will delete the message.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, and only the people who answer enquiries can read the mailbox.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. The Terms of Use cover the rest of how the site may be used.
