Terms of Use
The terms for using infofacility.com, its library and its free tools. By using the site you accept them.
Who we are
Infofacility is owned and run by PrimeRole, Inc., a Delaware company. These terms are an agreement between you and that company, which they call "Infofacility", "we" or "us".
The library is not legal advice
The library explains laws, rules and standards in plain English. It is information, not legal advice, and reading it or writing to us does not make you a client. For advice on your own situation, speak to a qualified lawyer.
Statutory text is copied from the Gazette of India or the regulator's own document. Where a page has not yet been checked word for word against that source, it says so. If a page differs from the regulator's document, the regulator's document prevails.
Accuracy
We check each page against the regulator's or standard body's document and correct mistakes when we find them, but laws change and errors happen. The site is provided as it is, with no promise that it is complete, current or free of errors. Found a mistake? Write to info@infofacility.com with the page and the source.
The free tools
The free tools, such as the breach notification clock, work from the answers you give and the clauses they cite. They help you find what applies to you; they do not replace your own assessment or a lawyer's. Check each result against the clause the tool shows.
Products and services
Infofacility's products and services are sold under a separate written agreement or order. The pages on this site describe what each one does; they are not an offer, and prices are on request. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement prevails.
Using the site
You may read, share and link to any page, and quote short passages with a link to the page they came from. Please do not:
- copy the library in bulk or republish it as your own;
- try to break, overload or get round the site's security;
- use the site for anything unlawful.
Ownership
The library's text, design and tools belong to us. Statutory text comes from the Gazette of India and the regulators, and we claim no rights in it. ISO, IEC, AICPA, SOC 2 and the other names of standards belong to their owners; naming them here does not mean those owners endorse Infofacility. ISO and AICPA text is paraphrased, never reproduced.
Links to other sites
Pages link to regulators, standard bodies and other sites. Infofacility does not control them and is not responsible for what they publish.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Infofacility is not liable for any loss that comes from relying on the library or the free tools, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its rules on conflict of laws, and the state and federal courts in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them. This does not take away any protection that the law of the country where you live gives you and does not allow to be excluded.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date and applies from then. How Infofacility handles personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy. Questions about either go to info@infofacility.com.
