DPDP Act 2023 · s. 2(g), s. 6(7) to (9)

A company registered with the Data Protection Board that gives you one place to give, manage, review and withdraw consent across many Data Fiduciaries, through an accessible, transparent and interoperable platform. It acts on your behalf and is accountable to you (s. 6(8)). Rule 4 and the First Schedule of the DPDP Rules 2025 set the registration conditions, which include being a company incorporated in India with a net worth of at least Rs 2 crore; Rule 4 takes effect one year after the Rules, around 13 Nov 2026.

"Consent Manager" means a person registered with the Board, who acts as a single point of contact to enable a Data Principal to give, manage, review and withdraw her consent through an accessible, transparent and interoperable platform.
